Do people REALLY do loads of exciting things at the weekend? Most people I know are busy managing the day-to-day routines of life and just want to chill out at the weekend. My weekends are probably too quiet as I tend to be by myself, It's very hard to tear friends away from their families!!!!!!!!!! At home I could be cooking a meal, doing some gardening, watching a really old film on TV, reading a book, having the occasional glass of wine, maybe visitng a garden, doing some family history research. Ideally, if I had the company , I would like to do more walking (or strolls). I like distances of around 3, 4 or 5 miles ... don't want to rush and miss the lesser-spotted hedgehog! I I have done walks by myself but feel rather vulnerable. I like pub lunches in a rural location, having a stroll by the beach, visiting a National Trust House, going to the cinema, going to an event e.g. New Forest Show, air show etc.
