Any from 12C chant to ... well just returned from the Burning Man Festival (in the Black Rock Desert) - the US answer to a completely self-reliant Glastonbury.

No two are ever quite the same EXCEPT the sleep-in AND my cooking (either here or elsewhere) for family and friends a major food production at some point .....

Laid back, non-judgemental and very active. Always up for thowing myself wholeheatedly into any and all cultural, philosophical or just plain crazy activities within an open-minded and civilised environment. Not into the casual or the meaningless (in life and relationships) and will always treasure someone who enjoys all or anything cultural, good food, wine and company spiced with liberating conversation and cooly unbridled wit and piquancy... And I laugh a great deal! At myself (in particular) and with and at the world. Despite the seriousness of all this real gut-wrenching humour drives much of my daily life; was told the other day that the Road Code is now available in Braille! And I suspect that I will shortly be banned from Mr Sainsbury's emporia if I am caught, yet again, offering his Battered Fish a safe refuge.... Music is very important to me and I love any and all from pre-christian chant to ... well ... spent a stunning week in August at the 2007 Burning Man Festival (in the Black Rock Desert) - the US answer to a completely self-reliant Glastonbury. Not really that interested in pubs and clubs but massively enjoy the extraordinary and occasional company of my two teenagers (who also came to Burning Man), a ton of friends spread throughout the globe ranging in age from early-twenties to late thirties (6 of whom also 'aggregated' at the Burning Man Festival). So I have a deep suspicion (along with ex-wife) that I have yet to ripen into 'settling down' appropriate for my physical age but what the hell..... I work way too hard (and enjoy every second of it!) but, equally, I relax just as enthusiastically and (having moved to Lancashire fairly recently to be near my teenagers) it would be to my great delight to meet someone with whom I could share time, thoughts, head-space and see where that may lead ..... And no two weekends here are ever quite the same EXCEPT a possibly lazy Sunday morning AND my preparing some major food 'event' at some point, either here at home or elsewhere for wonderful friends (including ex-wife - ex for 12 years lest there be any doubt!) ..... Oh yes, food preparation is one of my private passions.... Would love to hear from new friends, acquaintances, sparring partners, full-time, part-time,or just occasional. AND I actively like having manners (opening doors, rising when a lady sits at table, walking on the outside), driving accurately and fast and wildly imaginative and (often wickedly) discursive discussions often laced with good wine and food.... love people watching, absorbing life in all its richness and those wonderfully relaxed, quiet and warmly introspective moments of all embracing ease with another and/or others, remembering always that all is life and for living and we only get one shot at it!
