Old Photos

Spent the weekend going through my Mums old photos of people and places I dont reconise.
What a shame, they are all related to me some how, but I dont know them......so sad.
So my mission this lifetime is to not let that happen when its my time to leave this world.
I am going to try and do a photo family tree.

Thank you all for your heart felt comments.
Mums funeral went as well as these things can go.
In the New Year my parents ashes will be mixed together,and buried in my Mums family plot. Together forever...........
For me.........back to work, the gym , family and life.
I wont be wasting a single day.

You're right to get back into the swing of ''normal'' life.
When my mum died i wanted the whole world to stop what it was doing and grieve with me but it never happened and the best thing to do is carry on with everyday things and keep your mum always in your heart, talk to her and remember the good times

I have been thinking about this one and have come to the conclusion that we all think too deeply sometimes. Too many judgements and opinions are based on very little evidence. For example, you ring someone and the phone is engaged, do you immediately think he is talking to a 'new interest' or do you think, he's on the phone to his brother and they are talking about what he is going to buy you, or where to take you next time he sees you. It is so easy to put your own slant, and sometimes imagination runs away with you and it is then a bad thing. It can be the same for him, he might be trying to ring you and your battery is flat so you have turned the phone off, if his previous experience was that he was cheated on, he might think you are cheating on him also. Important to communicate well I think, have a lovely day :-)

My Mum passed away on Saturday afternoon.
It has been the hardest week of my life, nursing her through this.
But her daughters were with her at the end as she wanted, and she is now at ,the much needed ,Peace.
Missing you Mum.....Xx

Oh dear god, I am so sorry to hear of your loss, I too have lost my Mum although it was 3 years ago I still get pangs of sadness. If it wasn't for my kids and their little ones I dread to think.........

my mum passed away,when i was 16,my dad passed away around the same time as my only son ...8 years ago,im an only child.life can be lonely.thank god for my other children my lv and thoughts are with you xxxx

My sympathies to you and your family.
I lost my mum and you think you will never get over the loss but as johncash101 said....dont mourn too long.

It will be very hard but smile at the good times you had together and always remember her at her best not how she was at the end.
She will always be with you in memories and in your heart.

Free weekend......

41 days ago

Well my first free weekend for 5 weeks now. Nothing planned, list of small things to be done, if I could be bothered. Tired and coming down with a sore throat and cold.......
Then my Mum was admitted to hospital, and it all changes.
100`s of miles travelled later, wishing I hadnt offered to do overtime to help out this afternoon on a day off..... its Monday again.
Wow....life !!!

What a weekend....

Up for a champers breckie, on the train.
In to London, did Harrods, saw a show in the West End.
Then back to sisters and out to Dinners..........Mmmmm
My kind of Birthday weekend.
